POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Location – Jersey City, NJ
Salary – up to $140K (plus bonus)
No Visa sponsorship at this time
JOB SUMMARY:
Work within a large multi-threaded financial environment on globally distributed projects.
Data critical position! You will be working with large amounts of financial data on a daily basis.
Map process flows from business process to system functionalities and technologies.
Gather and document business requirements and translate in to technical specifications.
Liaise between technology teams, business users and vendors.
Function within a hybrid Windows/Linux environment with SQL Server and Oracle databases.
Analyze information gathered from clients and reconcile conflicts, translate information in to technical details.
Manage and prioritize project resources, project timelines and schedules.
Produce metrics and business reports/analytics.
Required Skill-Set:
At least 4 years working as a Business Analyst within a large multi-threaded financial environment.
Candidate should have solid technical underpinning with SQL, Windows and Linux.
Strong financial-data BA background.
Excellent business requirement gathering skills and vendor validation experience.
Experience working on globally distributed, complex financial projects.
Compliance knowledge and background highly preferred!
Experience with customer-facing technologies.
Technical prowess with MSWord, MSVisio, MSPowerPoint, MSExcel, SharePoint, etc.
Ability to multi-task between several projects and delegate responsibilities.
A proven self-starter who does not need a lot of direction.
Very strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must-have!
